Tenebrea Trilogy #3: Tenebrea Rising
Published in Digital by Pocket Books ()
Average review score:

A Great Read - Gripping!!Not your usual ending to this thoughtful, intelligent, and gripping tale. The characters are complex, the internal dilemmas are layered, and the resolution of conflict is more like reality. I was sorry that the trilogy had to end! Dawson and Graham have created a world filled with timeless personalities instead of caricatures and goofy sidekicks. I really enjoyed the read!! I hope to see it in theaters someday!!

Tenebrea's Trilogy #2: Tenebrea's Hope
Published in Digital by Pocket Books ()
Average review score:

A Very Human Heroine!!Dawson and Graham create a world of poitical intrigue and suspense in this second book of the trilogy!! An intelligent and complex story, the characters are well-drawn -- the various aliens have recognizable personalities, customs, and behaviors. Our heroine is troubled and a loner. In the true style of real science fiction, the technology, the flora and the fauna of different planets reflect an understanding of actual sciences. I can't wait to read the final book of the trilogy!!!

The Texas Military Experience: From the Texas Revolution Through World War II (Texas A & M University Military History Series, No 43)
Published in Hardcover by Texas A&M University Press (September, 1995)
Average review score:

The mythos and history.Texas, "born in strife and baptized in blood", has a military mystique more like a sovereign state than an ordinary American state. The iconic Alamo, the frontier and Civil War experience, Audie Murphy, the famous 36th Division; all contribute to a martial reputation which helps make Texas unique in the eyes of the world.
These and other elements of this enduring image of Texas are explored here in this highly readable collection of essays, reassessing the Texas Revolution, noting some neglected participants in Texas history, reviewing the Texas military experience in film and literature, and generally sorting out reality from the mythology. Highly recommended for the general reader, and especially for students of military history.

Troubled Waters: An Unauthorised and Unofficial Guide to Dawson's Creek
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Virgin Publishing (November, 2001)
Average review score:

For In-The-Closet Dawson's Fans EverywhereI'm one of the many adults that I know are out there who passionately love the Creek. I don't have patience for much of the fan literature because I feel it is written for 12-year-olds. This book is great because it is quite readable for the adult crowd. All the episodes you missed are recapped. Explanations are given for possible inconsistencies and still others are pointed out. Some of the inside jokes are exposed (who knew the producers were so clever?). It's a trip down memory lane and a terrific insight into the characters. I give it a hearty thumbs up.

Trust in Business and Other Transactions: Who and When
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (January, 2003)
Average review score:

As Definitive As It Gets"Trust in Business and Other Transactions" is as definitive as it gets if you need tools to help manage risk in complex deal making. Dawson gives a hands on method of measuring, balancing, and controlling trustworthiness, the relationship, and the nature of the transaction. The book is aimed at helping readers manage risk when closing complex, long term, high dollar business agreements. Dawson's "Trust in Transactions" is the "One Minute Manager" on his subject. This single session read will put you at the top of your game and change your perspective of negotiations. Dawson's thoughtful analysis goes well beyond the advice offered by Harvey McKay ("Swim With the Sharks") and Dale Carnegie ("How to Win Friends...") in order to put the art of deal making in its correct perspective. The book offers a hands on method of predicting and controlling the risks found negotiating and closing complex deals. Whether you are an investment banker, commission salesman, or inventor selling your idea, this book should be included among your most valuable professional references.

UH-1H/V Flight Handbook For U. S. Army Aviators : Study Guide and Quick Reference
Published in Unknown Binding by Silver Wings Publishers (1995)
Average review score:

Best reference for Huey PilotsThis handbook virtually eliminates the entire performance planning section of the UH-1H/V Operator's Manual, the -10 for those familiar with the Army system. With this handbook the aviator can immediately reference a table with the necessary performance data, thereby eliminating the time consuming process of plotting and cross-plotting data from page to page as the -10 requires. Having checked as many of the corners of the envelope as I could think of, the tables provide a more accurate, and a much more consistent answer than the plots in the -10. Perhaps the most useful application of this handbook is enroute changes to the planned mission. A couple of checks in the handbook and you have the new planning data. You don't have to get the book out, cross plot data, and wonder how accurate you might be while working in the confines of the cockpit with a manual that is 8.5x11 inches and something approximating a straight edge that the crew chief found when you hollered about the change of mission. This handbook will also greatly simplify the process of computing fuel consumption , traditionally a less than precise art in the Huey. For units in the Army National Guard, this handbook is a must buy and should be acquired and issued, with a hand receipt, to every new aviator in the unit. IPs should have this as a matter of professional pride in having the best available tools for mission accomplishment.

Understanding AS/400® System Operations
Published in Paperback by MC Press, LLC (15 June, 2000)
Average review score:

Great AS/400 beginner bookI not only bought the book, but I use it as a text book for the AS/400 Operations Classes that I teach. Material is placed in the correct order and explained in simple terms that are easy to follow. The authors also provide access to Powerpoint Presentations for each chapter - these are also wonderful. For the new user this is the best book to buy - or if you are studying for the IBM professional operator exam - this book also contains the right information to accomplish that goal.
